Portland-based psych-rockers Moon Duo, released an impressive 2 albums last year (Occult Architecture Vol. 1 & 2), which took us on a dynamic exploration of the pair’s experimental approach to electronic psychedelia. Having kept themselves busy over the festive period, Moon Duo have now shared a brilliant cover of the recently departed Suicide front man Alan Vega’s ‘Jukebox Babe’. It’s a dark, throbbing take on the comparatively jaunty original, which has a distinctly rockabilly feel to it. In their signature synth-driven style, Moon Duo’s version, however, is propelled by a pulsating bass line and wild, oscillating synthesizer flourishes, all guided by singer Ripley's eerily Suicide-esque vocals.
